Arizona Chapter

“It’s important to me that my brothers and sisters in and from foster care have someone to connect with after foster care is over. It can be a very lonely and isolating experience, and I want them to know that they are not alone — they have others that care about them, their lives, trials, tribulations, and triumphs.”

—Eshawn Peterson

The Arizona Chapter of Foster Care Alumni of America was chartered in April 2007 by Lupe Tovar, Christa Drake, and Regeanna Mwansa, all dedicated alumnae of foster care. We focus on social networking and engagement of alumni and allies, in addition to advocacy for policy change, in Arizona and nationwide. We currently are active in one region: Phoenix-Metropolitan (Maricopa County). However, we are building a Tucson (Pima County) presence as well.
