About CWLA's Annual Conference
CWLA's national conference is one of the largest annual gatherings of those who serve vulnerable children and families in the child welfare field, drawing together hundreds of attendees from all 50 states and beyond. Each year, the conference provides an engaging mix of advocacy, networking, and knowledge-sharing in a wide range of practice and leadership development arenas, connecting participants with top leaders in the child welfare field through general sessions, forums, and hands-on workshops.
The Maryland Foster Youth Resource Center (MFYRC) is a non-profit organization created and operated by former foster youth. The mission of MFYRC is to provide a variety of supportive resources for both youth in foster care and alumni of the foster care system through a "one stop (physical and virtual) shop" that connects these youth in Maryland with resources and programs already provided by local non-profit organizations and gives advice and support drawing on the life experiences of older former foster youth. MFYRC’s goal is to ensure that all youth transitioning out of foster care and foster care alumni in Maryland are aware of resources available to them and have the tools they need to become successful and contributing members of society and to ensure that the voice of foster youth is included in child welfare policy and practices. We're looking to fill the positions of Youth Advocacy Coordinator, Training Coordinator and Administrative Coordinator.
