The Massachusetts Chapter of Foster Care Alumni of America was started in 2009. The vision of our chapter is to equip alumni with the tools necessary to realize their dreams and to encourage, inspire, and support youth in care to be tomorrow’s leaders; secure in themselves and the world around them. The local mission of our chapter is to make the greatest impact possible for alumni by forging new pathways to opportunity through education, advocacy, and access to resources.
Note from the Massachusetts Chapter President
I want to thank everyone for the great honor and responsibility of electing me to serve you as President of the FCAA MA Chapter for the next year. We face some big challenges, but we also have enormous energy and new ideas that will make this chapter better and better. As President, I want to help us tap into our positive insights and share them with others.
I am not going to make specific promises, because we do not know what the future holds, but you can count on me giving this job all of the experience, knowledge and skills that I’ve got. I may make mistakes, but I will work hard to move us forward and ask you to join me in our important mission.
We know we are stronger when we work together, which we – the Massachusets chapter officers, allies and alumni – commit to doing, together. Financial stability and growth in membership will follow as it becomes clear to everyone just how valuable this Organization is.
I am grateful for everyone in the MA Chapter for their confidence in me and for their commitment to our work. I look forward to working with all of you.
